Building the Future of Web3 Education: So Litty Records Partners with Gimbalabs and the Andamio Protocol
At So Litty Records, our mission has always been to empower creators by providing the tools, resources, and community they need to thrive. Today, we are thrilled to announce a strategic partnership that takes this mission to the next level. So Litty Records is officially joining forces with Gimbalabs, a cornerstone of the Cardano development and education ecosystem, to integrate our educational initiatives with their groundbreaking Andamio Protocol and Learning Platform.
This collaboration is more than a partnership; it's a fusion of shared values centered on open-source learning, community empowerment, and building real-world solutions on the blockchain.
Who is Gimbalabs? A Foundation of Open Learning
For years, Gimbalabs has been a guiding force in the Cardano community, driven by a clear and powerful mission: to provide open, replicable, and safe spaces for individuals and organizations to learn, explore, and solve meaningful problems. They have built a vibrant community organized into "circles" of contribution, including outreach, community onboarding, education, and development, allowing anyone to find a place to participate and grow.
Gimbalabs operates with a decentralized ethos, utilizing a DAO and proposal model for its asynchronous work sessions, live coding events, and community gatherings. Their weekly "Open Spaces" are where governance decisions are made and projects are planned, creating a transparent and collaborative environment for builders and learners alike.

What is Andamio? The Scaffolding for Collaboration and Credentialing
Andamio is a flagship project of Gimbalabs, and its name, which means "scaffold" in Spanish, perfectly captures its purpose. It is a blockchain-based protocol designed to provide the scaffolding for people to collaborate on meaningful work, build verifiable trust, and earn credentials for their contributions.
Andamio's philosophy is not "Learn to Earn," but "Learn to Work". The platform's core belief is that effective learning prepares people to contribute meaningfully. When you learn on Andamio, you earn credentials that unlock access to real contribution opportunities.
This is achieved through a sophisticated, layered architecture:
Foundation Layer: Provides universal identity through access tokens and tamper-proof state management on the Cardano blockchain.
Application Layer: Builds specific functionalities on top of the foundation, with the first protocols being Course (for learning and credentialing) and Project (for collaborative work).
This "Hollywood Model" approach allows diverse, expert teams to assemble for complex projects, dissolve upon completion, and reconfigure for new opportunities, with credentials serving as portable proof of their skills and contributions.

Project-Based Learning (PBL): The Heart of the Curriculum
Gimbalabs has become a key source of Project-Based Learning (PBL) courses, which are hands-on, beginner-friendly adventures into Cardano's smart contracts and development landscape. These courses have been the platform of choice for numerous Project Catalyst proposals looking to address education, with participants including teams from Mesh, SIDAN Lab, Blink Labs, and Marlowe.
With the Fall 2025 season just kicking off, Gimbalabs is again offering its renowned PBL courses, including:
Plutus PBL: A deep dive into Cardano's native smart contract language.
Mesh PBL: A course walking through MeshJS, the complete SDK for web3 development on Cardano.
All Things Go: A new PBL course focused on the Go programming language.
These courses are supplemented by live coding sessions, Tech Standups, and the weekly Open Spaces, creating a rich, interactive learning environment.

The SLR x Gimbalabs Synergy: What This Means for Our Community
This partnership is designed to directly benefit the So Litty Records community by building a clear pathway from learning to contribution. Our plan is to pair SLR's own educational initiatives with the powerful infrastructure that Gimbalabs and Andamio have built.
In the near future, programs like JukeBoys Music University, our CIP-60 Workshops, and our professional Trade Manuals will be integrated with courses on Andamio. This will allow our community members to not only learn the fundamentals of Web3 music but also to earn on-chain credentials that verify their skills and unlock new opportunities within the SLR ecosystem and beyond.
Furthermore, we will draw from the immense wealth of knowledge within the Gimbalabs community of educators and builders to help establish robust and relevant curriculums. This ensures that the skills our community members learn are practical, in-demand, and aligned with the future of the decentralized world.
We are incredibly excited about this next chapter. By combining SLR's creative engine with Gimbalabs' educational framework, we are building a more empowered, knowledgeable, and collaborative community, ready to shape the future of music on the blockchain.
